Frankfurt in the Rain
Rain does not have to cost you the day. The museum row in Sachsenhausen and the covered arcades downtown hold more indoor program than you can get through, and Frankfurt is compact enough that the walks between them are short. This route strings together the two museums worth your time on a wet day, with three good rooms to sit in between them.

A craft beer bar with a burger menu in the New Old Town. Warm, loud enough to forget the weather, and a short walk from the next stop.

The birthplace and family home of the writer, restored and furnished. A literary hour and a half entirely under a roof.

A modern restaurant with an open kitchen, and the right way to close out a rainy day rather than heading back to the hotel at eight.
